About the Event

Consider it a foundation for the Lightweight Rescue Workshop, a fundamental rope rescue clinic, or just great time on rope learning new things and new ways to do things you already do.  This class will build basic skills to make anyone who wants to work hard a solid, safe, and smart member of a technical rescue or SAR team.  Class size is limited to maintain a highly individualized lesson plan and lots of on-rope time for all participants.  Personal rope skills and personal mobility are the key to safe, efficient, and expedient rope rescue.  Come learn it here!  Harness (class 2 or 3), helmet, gloves, and appropriate clothing required.

No on-rope pre-requisites.

Manufactured Class II or III harness

Climbing or Rescue helmet

Gear below can be provided if needed:

6 locking 24kN or greater carabiners

Descent control device for 11mm rope

Set of prusiks (prefer sewn)

Hand ascender

Lodging is not included.  Instructors are staying here  with lots of inexpensive options.
